When knowing is difficult, not knowing may help.
As Ursula K. Le Guin said, "The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty; not knowing what comes next."
When we know, it's finished, determined. When we don't know, at least there's the possibility of Goodness, a fresh breeze, a cleansing rain...perhaps "not knowing" is that thin space between reality and the sublime, between the terrestrial wounds and celestial rays, the human failing and the divine healing.
